Clothing for Your Portrait
Clothing is one of the most important ingredients in determining the look of your portrait.  You do not want your portrait to be dated by current fashions, be simple and classic.  Avoid eye catching patterns, colors and prints.  A solid color works best.  Black, muted, solid colors and even all white work very well.  Bold colors can work also, however, have an overall look.  Remember, you are the most important element of your portrait, not the clothing you are wearing.

Jewelry should be small and classic
Bold jewelry makes a very strong and bold statement.  Sleeves should be at least 3/4 length or long sleeve. Avoid tight fitting clothing.

Watch out for that absolute perfect look or a freshly cut look.  Remember to bring your brush and hair spray.

Your make-up should be slightly heavier than normal
